Remi
They say by the time you’re able to sign a no-move-clause, you find where you’re meant to be. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened for me yet. I thought I finally found my place in New York, but getting traded was inevitable.

Gravitating toward Eli Briggs is also inevitable. He keeps me company at the afterparty when Nevada wins the MHA Cup. Then, he saves me when my car breaks down, and again by helping me move. It was hard to stay away from him from the beginning, but with every passing day, it gets harder.

The tension from the MHA and uncertainty of my future fade because my mind gets consumed by all things Eli. Just when things start to get comfortable, and I can see a glimpse of my future, I end up back where I started.

Workout. Work. Meetings. Work. Surf. Sleep.

Every day of my life since I’ve been sober and clean has been roughly the same. Everything changes after my brother wins the MHA Cup. I join the afterparty and meet Remi Attwell, a forward who recently got traded to Florida from Utah. His easy smile and laid-back view of life draw me in in ways I never expected.

Remi’s car breaks down in Florida, and as a favor to my brother, I tow him back to the shop. What I didn’t agree to was Remi wiggling into the everyday life that I carefully constructed. I couldn’t stop it. Before I knew it, my entire life shifted.

Remi. Workout. Work. Meetings. Surf. Sleep. Remi.

When I met Brennan Rainier two years ago, it felt like I’d known him my whole life. We connected on the ice right away, and our friendship grew. My contract expired, and when Seattle offered me a spot on the team, how could I say no? The miles between us shrank to feet between our rooms, and it’s harder than ever to stay away.

Brennan
Two years. It took Kade Iverson two years to get his ass to Seattle. I was one season away from going to Vancouver instead. When he finally signed in Seattle, I was more than eager to offer one of my spare bedrooms to him. Why does he need his own place when mine is free and, hello, it has me? The pull between us has been strong since the second we met. I don’t know why I expected it to be any different when he moved in with me. It’s stronger than ever now, and unfortunately, I’m weak.

Paxton
They tell you when you get called up how fast everything moves, but words can't prepare you for the reality of it all. Making it to the Major Hockey Association has always been the goal. Now I'm here sharing a house with two of the league's best players. Iverson offers me the final bedroom in his house for the rest of the season, but I regret it the second I walk through the door. Two half-naked men walking around the house are enough to pull me from my game, and right now, I can’t afford it to.
